Because of the completeness of information on all 935 GSCE’s it’s possible to slice and dice the information into some interesting statistics.

Many people will contact the Corvette Museum to find out (at a cost) how many cars were built like theirs and they will send you a letter with that number. But they will not give you details like you can find here. The GSCE owners are fortunate to have access to the most complete inventory of all of these cars and their options, something that is not possible with any other Corvette year or series.

Below are some common statistics based on major configurations such as coupe vs convertible, manual vs automatic, Z07 option and combinations of those. Other statistics are available to browse in the Registry Google Sheet and you can also filter the spreadsheet to determine how many cars had the options like yours.

Geographic Info

Even though C7’s were only built in a left-hand drive configuration they were shipped all over the world. With the original invoice information, you can see the distribution of the GSCE’s around the world. Additionally, owners will update with information on cars that have moved between countries over the years. The chart below shows the distribution of coupes and convertibles around the globe.

Transmissions

The breakdown of 7 speed manual transmissions versus the 8 speed automatic transmissions is another common method of looking at the production numbers. Additionally, looking at that information based on Coupe versus Convertibles highlights one of the rarest combinations of the GSCE which is the manual transmission convertible where only 27 cars were built with that configuration.

Coupe vs Convertible

The simplest breakdown of course is to look at the number of Coupes that were built versus Convertibles. By far there were more Coupes made than Convertibles which is reflected in the overall C7 numbers.

With the Z07 Option

The Z07 option was one of the more expensive options available for a GSCE and as a result the number of them with that option is low. It also highlights the rarest combination of significant options for the GSCE run; a convertible, manual transmission car with the Z07 package. There were only 7 cars in the whole production that were built with this configuration of options.

Without the Z07 Option

Flipping the Z07 data around allows you to also examine the cars that came without the Z07 options!
