Privacy
The registry is about cars, not people. It publishes how each car was built and where GM sent it, and never publishes owners' personal details.
What the site publishes
- Each car's build record: VIN, Build Date, body, transmission, options, Original Market, Originating Dealer and Window Sticker price, with the source of each value cited by role.
- Never owners' names, email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses, titles, registrations or purchase documents.
- Previous owners, once car histories open, only as "Owner 1, 2019–2022": no names.
- A current owner's location only if that owner chooses to show it.
What the registry keeps privately
Over the years owners and others have sent the registry emails, forum messages, photos and documents. These are kept privately to check the record and are not published. Where a document is cited, it is cited by what it is ("GM factory invoice"), not by whose it is.
Feedback you send
The feedback form asks only for your message; a name and email are optional and used only to reply. Notes go to the registry and are never published. Please don't send car details through it.
Cookies and tracking
Reading the site sets no cookies. The feedback form sets two small cookies it needs to work, a session cookie and a security token, and they expire after two hours. There is no advertising, no tracking and no third-party analytics, and everything on each page, fonts included, comes from this site.
Owner accounts (coming later)
When owners can claim their car, the registry will verify each claim against the owner's documents before giving access. Owners will see and edit only their own car, and nothing they submit is published until the registry has checked it. Documents used to verify a claim stay private.
Changes and removal
If something on the site is about you, or you'd like a note about your car changed or removed, use the feedback form and say what you'd like done; leave an email so the registry can reply.
